James, come on home. You've been gone too long, baby. Can't let our hero die alone!
We miss you day and night.
You left town and live by the rifle. You left us to fight, and it just ain't right to take away the light.
Remember Genie from the casino? She's still a-waiting in that big brass bed. The boys from your gang are knocking whiskey back, 'til they get out of hand and wish they were dead.
They're only lonely for the life that they led with their old friend.
Ooh, James, you're selling your soul to a cold gun! Selling your soul to a... Ooh, James, are you selling your soul to a cold gun?
Where lies your heart? It's not there in the buckskin, baby! Not there in the gin that makes you laugh (long and loud!!).
You're a coward, James!
You're running away from humanity. You're running out on reality. It won't be funny when they ratta-ta-tat you down.

When the KT band played pubs before 'Wuthering Heights', KT would do covers of Stones numbers as she was worried her piano ballads weren't pub rock material. Eventually she decided to write the ultimate pub rock song - and brought the house down the first night it was played. After about 18 months of getting it perfect in every way, she played it one last time - sit back and watch a genius at work...
Amazing how sensual Kate Bush is but never vulgar. It's as if she's just always so "herself," so genuine, and definitely outside any and all trendiness.
Farmer doesn't even begin to compare to Kate Bush. If Farmer didn't have her "Svengali," Mr. L. B., her paper-thin vocals would have never been heard. Kate is genius. Yeah, Farmer is, at most, a Gallic Madonna--cheesey and a lot of garlic on her breath.
Kate is not comparable to nobody. She is one of the most intelligent composers in the last 30 years. She is a genious...between the ten greatest gods of the pop (Lennon, Gabriel, Gilmore, Townsend...)

I wouldn't call her a "French Kate Bush" - there are no similarities in style, so far as I can see. They are both their own woman and artiste.
I certainly would never relate either to Madonna! :-o
