So, I'm finally biting the bullet and getting some riding lessons from my husband Vinny. Let's see how this goes. He's pretty brave to allow me to EXPERIMENT on his 'Baby' the Yamaha R-6. We started out just riding around the neighborhood, my speed didn't exceed like 35 mph. We just rode like a quarter mile away from the house and then back again. Overall I did pretty good, bike didn't shut off on me. Was able to get into 1st & then 2nd gear pretty smoothly. The bike did kick a few times as I forgot to ease on the gas while switching gears, but I'm getting there...

@Vixykins yup, I find it pretty weird that here coppers will stop squids and give them a good talk about propper gear (can't really send home since only compulsory gear is a helmet) and in US you can see coppers riding in T-shirtd and trousers that looks like they gonna tear on first contact with ground...

@ExiasRevenger You can get a motorcycle endorsement when your 16 - I live in Florida By the way. - I got mine when I was 17. this recent summer. I turn 18 in January. I actually ride a GS500f model naked. Its Kinda heavy, IM a light weight guy only coming in around 125-130lbs at 5'8. I think the best thing to do, is not buy something that is fancy, but something that works.. I dropped by bike 3 times so far, and barley had it for a month. Tho, Its when I tried to move it off the bike each time.
