Peanuts, My Great uncle always invited my parents out to hear him play whenever he was is in Syracuse. I was too young to go, but He remains a shing star in our family, and I have inheirited all his autographed albums, which I cherish.
I have Johnny Kline's Ludwig Drum set! I bought them from Johnny around 1972. They had a dull finish sprayed on the chrome then so the TV lights would relfect too much. I've played them over the years and they're set up in my studio now, and still sound great. It has a Lugwig Legendary Supraphonic 400 snare drum. I just found Johnny Kline's video so thought I'd share my drum story!
I've just finished copying this great clarinet note by note for an American friend of mine. Actually this video is twice the same. At 1:42 it is simply copied and repeated from the beginning. The final bars vere removed at 1.42 and glued at the end. This editing was made so amateurishly by somebody vaccinated against rhythm that at that unhappy spot of 1:42 two beats in the first banjo bar are missing.
I heard your Uncle play in England during his visits in the 70's and 80's.
He autographed my Dad's Album of the old Miller "Uptown Hall Gang" that featured Mr Hucko and Mel Powell on piano when playing in the Cambridge Jazz Club.
Great Album.
and Great Guy your Uncle.

Peanuts was not only a wonderful and kind clarinet player, but my UNCLE. He was an amazing person.... so professional and always had time to make sure I was remembered!!! His talent and music will remain a part of me forever!!!!--- His name, also has a significance . To me, he is Uncle Mickey.....

This is great. Hucko was a great, swinging player. Neil Levang is one of my favorite musicians. He was so versatile, masterful and swinging.

Good thing he wasn't the inspiration for Charles Schulz to name his comic strip "Peanuts".
