Maxim Vengerov und Sarah Chang sind einfach um Welten besser, was die Interpretation und den Klang bei diesem Stück angeht. (Und ich bin kein Garrett-"Hater", mir gefällt seine Version von Zigeunerweisen und Carmen Fantasy Op. 25. Hier jedoch klingt sein Ton einfach nur dünn und es fehlt völlig an "Farbe". :/

а мне не нравится он. как то мы с ним в японии играли. так он с Ксюшой Акейниковой играл двойной баха, ужас, как курица лапой просто. накурыш он, и музыка у него накуренная, нелогичная.

He seems like the type of guy that would not play the violin at all. He's amazing though. Beautiful music!

És realment genial. Té una musicalitat que li brolla per totes les porusitats del seu cos i la seva ment. És un músic nat. M'encisa. La seva tècnica pot agradar més o menys, però a la fi, la única cosa que és valida en l'interpretació de la música, és la seva fidedigna fidelitat a la mateixa, i en David Garrett és música feta home. Such a complex piece of music, the amount of emotion from both violin and musician is intense. love to watch his great pleasure as he makes the violin's spirit come alive again n again.

I disagree that he's better at playing "crossover" music. Comparing 2 great violinists is quite hard to do, particularly, when one's a man and one's a woman. Their interpretation WILL BE quite different, I'm sure. But to see David's technical proficiency with the emotion he brings to the piece is quite heart rendering. He is charismatic, not only for his handsome looks, but for the vulnerability whicht he exudes. This is a rare quality in a man and this is the main reason I disagree.
