Creation is a partly biographical, partly fictionalised account of Charles Darwin's relationship with his eldest daughter, Annie, as he struggles to write On the Origin of Species. Produced by Jeremy Thomas, the film was directed by Jon Amiel and stars married couple Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly as Charles and Emma Darwin. John Collee wrote the script based on Randal Keynes's biography of Darwin titled Annie's Box.

  • Stunning music. Why there where no nomination for any reward?

  • @anonim84 The movie was released in 2010 so i think it may get a Golden Globe or Academy Award nomination, but hey! The best scores never get even nominated or win Oscars. Like A Single Man, The Fountain, The Village and many other...

  • BROUGHT ME TO TEARS!!!

And look again at the title of the song. There's deep meaning in it my friend... it sums up everything and tells us what we all should have (Humiliy And Love) for each other. Cut this whole side-taking crap please. We are all brothers and sisters in the end no matter what we choose to believe!

    Peace.

  • best of all 2010

  • just amazing score....

  • @jeremyaowen You're basically right. I myself have more faith in science than in religion. Yet, the fact we all forget is that religion implies the unquestionable pillar of faith. The assumption of "doctrines" is the work of the religious interpreters, the people who originally were given the task of teaching common people how to understand the concepts of their faith. Later they became power-hungry, hence the element of fear and prejudice. P.S.: Thank you for sharing your ideas with me. :)

  • @vasilis08032008 I don't wish to start an argument, but I think it is in fact the main failing of religion that its teachings usually encourage people to NOT "step back and gaze without prejudice and fear". Instead, it inspires fear. By creating a fear of thoughtcrime and by generating bias, it protects its own existence.

But I absolutely agree with you about the music!

  • Absolutely wonderful. Both the score and the movie were beautifully made. An excellent example of how science and religion have their purpose and boundaries. The common thing they share, the place where he two circles meet, is the mutual and binding obligation to step back and gaze wihout prejudice or fear.

  • is it just me or does the one part of this song sound like the blue oyster cult song "Flaming Telepaths"?

  • this movie didn't have any distributors in the US because it was deemed too 'controversial' for predominantly religious audiences..unbelievable

  • @TPhaoimnaes . I don't know but if you find out please tell me because i'm interest to learn one of that she plays( just a litle part) almost in the end of the film...
