Avenue Road is not your average road. As one of the oldest roads in Bangalore, it offers a wide range of good quality items at cheap price. From items as small as belts, shoes and handkerchiefs to eateries serving chaats and other delicacies, to clothes, jewellery, books, Avenue Road has it all.

But what is the story behind this road? How did it gain this reputation? Why do people and shops compete for space here? Is it just a business hub or does it mean something more to the people here?
