This is a behind the scenes making of video of the 1985 film OUTERWORLD aka BEYOND THE RISING MOON. This film was produced in Alexandria Virginia and was televised on the Sci-Fi Channel in the 90s. • are both versions on the dvd?

  • @meowza3k Yes. Both the original version of the film -- BEYOND THE RISING MOON; the revised version -- OUTERWORLD; making of video; behind the scenes video; trailer; image gallery and blooper reel are on the DVD.

  • I really enjoyed watching this on the "Outerworld" DVD and it's great to see it again here. You know this has always been one of my favorite movies, Phil, and I'm very happy that Pentan - Beyond the Rising Moon - Star Quest - Outerworld has taken on a life of its own and endured the test of time.

Thanks for the kind words. At least the film won't be totally lost to posterity now that you can stream it on Netflix and Amazon.

  • I bought it over the weekend - I can't wait to check it out!

  • @44Curmudgeon

Yes. You can either buy it from Amazon or me at my website. Or stream it on Netflix till the end of the year.

  • Can this be gotten on DVD?

  • Is this Philip Cook's channel? I just saw the movie on Netflix last night and I've messaged a bunch of my friends about it already, I was so surprised how good it was, and I love models way more than CG, you can really tell there is a lot of soul in the movie and I'm amazed a movie shot for 175k is so good, it's just done really really well and I really like the backdrops.
