A new campaign backed by most of Britains top chefs and food retailers, hopes to see Brits re-connecting with the joy of eating food in season, not only for its nutritional benefits, cost savings and lower impact on the environment, but also for the better flavour.
The campaign, titled Eat Seasonably will see the introduction of a new food labeling system which aims to give shoppers a helping hand in choosing fresh food when it is at its best and is calling on retailers, greengrocers, stallholders, pubs, restaurants and cafes nationwide to sign up.
