  • Hi there, what type of scope were you using, I am planning to use the same software with my 10"dob, so it will probably look like this! Very nice!

Which eyepiece did you use as well :) with barlow? Is there any zooming on the software's eyepiece?

  • Hello there. I was using a Celestron Nexstar 8SE (8 inch reflector) I didn't use an eyepiece for this, I put it the camera straight into the scope. It was a little challenging to get it focused, but I got there in the end!

I'm sure it would be fine with Barlow, I couldn't use one because of poor seeing condition/light pollution but at a darker site I think it would have been fine.

  • As far as I know there is no zooming on the software's eyepiece, although I am quite new to the equipment so I couldn't say for sure. The CCD camera acts as approx 5mm eyepiece.

    Hope this helps :)

  • Good luck with yours - I hope to catch the results on YouTube at a later date!
