He says; 'If I have to spell it out...'. I once heard he was shitty with somebody on the phone and the used the recording...don't quote me.
Awersome track from my teen years. Saw them live for eight bucks in Melbourne in about 1984 and then a few times after that. They were fantastic live.

This is a great track, only done by them because they couldn't get airplay with their regular songs at the time thank God.

@yellowbelly1966 Thre is a book about the oils by Mark Dodshon,I think from memory its pete saying something like "There are lines of swell coming in fom the east".Some reference to Swell.

Hank Marvin would be proud of his influence on this piece

there are some lyics at 2.21 but I can't make them out, and they are not printed on the record, I once heard that there were lyrics to it but they dropped them.
-
Anyone know where I can get the lyrics?

I will throw my two bobs worth in. All things being equal th is the best bit of musac an Aussie artist has put out there.

@Aqene1000 Nope, it's Peter Garrett. I've read an interview with Rob Hirst where he said this song originally had Pete ranting over the top of it. That small fragment that you're describing is all that's left.
-
I still get shivers when I hear this song
