Street Legal and Indy Bound

The Street Legal Indy Car owned by Dean Loucks from the Art of Design was Indianapolis 500 Bound and arrived at the Brickyard to do its own lap on the track before the 100th Anniversary Indy 500 race. The TAOD car, sporting Akzo Nobel Sikkens paint can also be seen at www.americanpowerboat.tv on the TAOD Channel.

That wouldn't be street legal in my home state. It doesn't have a windshield and the headlights are too low. Nice car though, wish we could have something like that on our streets.

So you missed the part about it being the backup car for Eddie Cheever in 2000 and the fact it's built by Dallara? Only reason it doesn't sound like an Indy car is because the fuel costs would be astronomical.
