i thnk it's time us new generation to step up and continue our traditions and culture. my grandparents came during that time too and he has taught me to learn the language and not forget where we came from.i want to makemy grandparents proud of me because of my accomplishments and hope to bring my grandparents back home one day and see where they grew up. that s my goal in life

I think for the mien elders coming to the US was like a trek to a new life investment, many loved their home country Laos, they feel the later generation had lost the culture pide, tradition idenity they now know their destiny is America. Life as a mien-American is easier today than it was 15 ears ago, more mien of the younger American generation are pursuing higher education today. When we compete in the pursue of higher education, it pride, not with gang, guns and violence
