In the debate over health care reform, it is easy to get lost in all of the statistics, graphs and technical jargon. However, we must never forget that behind the numbers and charts and bills and amendments are real people—real people who are uninsured or underinsured, many of whom are confronting chronic and life-threatening conditions such as heart disease and stroke.

  • Brit ,67, Tax payer,worked from 15,retired 2 years.Only 2 major health problems,hearing loss from 30,heart attack 3 years ago .Ambulance to A and E Hospitalised after checks had operation, 2 weeks in Hospital, aftercare given and medication supplied ,5 items taken daily + one spray if needed cost billed to me ZERO .Hearing loss bone anchor aid now fitted after operation maintenance of aid including batteries bill to me Zero.Sorry US insurance companies I'll stick with NHS
