Here's a quick behind-the-scenes video with our CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, right after speaking at the FiRe conference today. He covered three major areas of investment at NVIDIA, and how the company is creating a culture that supports innovation.

  • How is this video "in a minute"? It's almost 3 minutes long. :S

  • @2007excalibur2007 good catch :) I think we meant it more of a figurative minute....like "be there in a minute" or "hold on a sec"

  • There was a not-so-young man from Intel,

    who suddnly didn't feel well.

    Poor Mr Otellini,

    thought massive parellelism unseemly.

He said: "NVIDIA we must crush em",

    but now he's learning Russian.

'Cause there's no way to compete,

    with render-farm chips replete!

Good on NVIDIA; & Mr Huang please don't forget us little guys...keep those GeForces coming!

  • @Bimbyk DX11 games released: Battleforge; Stalker; Dirt 2; Battlefield Bad Companies 2; Alien VS Predators, Metro 2033, Lord Of The Ring,... DX11 has come out for 6 months, so this means at least one title is released per month and plenty will come out in 2010, check AMD or Nvidia's page, game developers have both companies' support to use DX11 in their games including titles ported from console (Nvidia even has their own program to encourage games to be ported to PC).

  • nice speech Mr Huang, I'm still waiting your kepler

  • Is he Chinese American ?

  • Jen-Hsun Huang is a douche.

  • "You need to create a culture of innovation that starts with a tolerance for failure. The goal is not the fail, or enjoy failing, but to realize that failing is just part of the process of innovation." - TRUE!

  • He is an awesome guy! With an awesome company!

  • @MADNEXXION lol, nvidia in a minute sounds pretty cool, like a small blog or something. But in this case, its nvidia in a minute * 2.9??? or something.

  • @growingup2204 battleforge is 10.1 Well, even though dx11 IS launching nicely, the main user of dx11 that is a real game is metro 2033. FULL utilization of dx11 (others only partly use it, like bfbc2 uses it for soft shadows THATS IT, and dirt 2 uses it only for the people, and some displacement mapping). That is why metro 2033 should be the idol for dx11, next to the unigine (which some people speculated was just an engine, not a game therefore dx11 hasnt fully launched). but metro changes that

  • Jen-Hsun explained it perfectly in his assertion that the key to a successful and trusted corporate model is by defining a culture of innovation. If the company is to continue on its path to rebalancing the heterogeneous framework of the PC platform with more parallel processing, then it needs to explore and experiment with new uncharted areas for growth - one of them being the augmented reality space.
