  • If I wasn't white, and kept thinking I could dunk, they would have lasted longer... The surgery and the outcome each time was awesome, I just kept tearing them..

  • Who was the doctor ? Weres he located ?he seems like he's really good,Im looking for a good doctor for ACL repair--thanks

  • Dr. Frank Cook, Palm Beach Orthopedic in Jupiter, FL. He is one of the best, and has pioneered several techniques for knees. He has done 3 ACL's for me (all L Knee) and each was perfect until I tore them (too much BBall).

  • @ahmadkhairul Yeah i just had mine 4 days ago, and im not feeling too much pain either... i noticed your comment was posted a year ago, how is it feeling now? i hope it turned out well, and my doc put me on partial, to full weight bare, so thats good i guess... maybe the reason why my knee hurts more is because i had to have meniscus repair as well.. but yeah hows your knee now?

  • Had my ACL replaced 9 weeks ago, everything is going well. Destroyed it in a skydiving incident three years ago. Have to wait one year before I can get back to skydiving and water skiing, but it's worth the wait. Older people who are active in sports can recover nicely, I'm 55.

  • the whole point behind ACL is pretty much for sportive or active people...if anything its the confidence that stops people from doing there sport after.

  • howd u tear them

  • wow lk the same thing happened 2 me. i tore my acl and meniscus 2 and had surgery in june

  • Why will you never play again?

  • thats still what they do, i had mine reconstructed last week, same drilling and everything, just a different understanding on post surgery activities.

  • Tore my ACL and meniscus and had the surgery on June 2nd 2009. I used the graft from the patella tendon. I had my leg locked in a brace for 1 week and took pain medication for 3 1/2 days. The pain wasn't too bad...the beginning of day 4 is when there was very minimal pain...maybe just ibuprofen here and there. It's now a little more than 3 months post-op and my leg is getting stronger each day. I'm going to the gym everyday trying to make it stronger than it was pre-injury. PT IS IMPORTANT

  • there is no hospital stay, its out patient, takes 2-3 hours, youll get a cpm machine, i used mine almost 24 hours a day for the first week or so, dont plan on sleeping much, just a drug induced rest, its been two weeks and im off my crutches but still limping bad, by the way you wont be playing much of anything for 3+ months if your lucky, this was the worst thing that ever happened to me and ill never play baskeball again, fuck me

  • i just had my operation 2 days ago and im feeling not much pain . dr put me on partial weight bearing . why do diff people get diff weight bearing ??
