I think that Obama was trying to equivocate Republicans and Democrats to soften the blow that he dealt in the beginning. Also, he was talking about not going after extreme liberal ideology, like complete gun bans and large tax rates for the rich. He wasn't talking about abandoning core liberal values.

Cenk why don't you edit up a whole lot of clips where Obama said during election campaign he wasn't going to do something, then play them against him saying later in power that he will do them? Put the tape on your website, on loop, & constantly point your viewers to it? What a powerful demonstration of what you are saying, more powerful than just saying it as you do here? Viewers are anaesthetised to merely hearing one say these things...

I truly wish there was a real news outlet where you could have 3 or 4 truly intelligent people who can debate legitimately in a proper method. One Rep one Dem and one or two unbiased who can really debate issues from both sides.

The president, or any other elected official should not failed their votes and views only for the people that vote for them. They should hold true to the principles of their views, but they have to represent not only the people that voted for them, but all people that are in their jurisdiction. That's what's the real problem with both dens and republicans. Neither side remembers that they have to look out for the well being of all people within their respected territories
