  • Wow Terry! Totally amazing! I love the story of your family's history as well. This is Barbara (Bobbie) I used to know you years ago and was amazed to find your site. If anyone is looking for it here it is...gibsonbaskets (dot) com

  • It would be nice to have your e-mail or web address to buy frm you .

  • Wow does this bring back memories. I was born and raised in Taney County, Missouri. My family made white oak baskets for years. I remember watching Saturday morning cartoons in the 70's while my siblings and I wove baskets. Wish I had kept a couple to pass on to my kids.

  • I meet him and bought a basket last week at the Fayetteville Farmers Market, and I love it.

  • One word: Wow =0

  • this is my uncle everybody. i have had one of his baskets 4 almost 15 years i have used it every year 4 eaaster egg hunting and its still in great condition. every body should get one of these baskets. i love u guys.

  • Great, I wish everyone could understand how much goes into making splint baskets -- before you even begin weaving! This is a nice little documentary!

  • Ronan "Bubs" (1 month old) sleeps so well in the bassinet basket you made for him. It's so beautiful! I'd recommend for anyone to order one of those from you, it's a real treasure to pass on down in your family for many years to come. I put padding in the bottom (4 inches) and made a lining for it. It can be carried from room to room very easily.

  • This is a wonderful video. I am a part of the Gibson/Curry family and am proud of our heritage. People don't realize what hard work goes into basket making. The weaver has to have an artistic eye and lots of strength in their hands. The pride in the Gibson basket is that it has no nails etc. to hold it together. It's completely naturally made. It will last for generations!
