PRO-LITE Pellegrino monocoque Carbon seat post : Load deflection test of 250kg and bent the seatpost back 25mm without breaking it

To explain, we fix a 100 kg weight 7 cm back from the fixing bolt and then we drop it 20 cm to see if we can crack or break the post. Normally the test is done once and the seatpost is examined. We did it 5 times. We then decided to move the load t 14cm -- thus doubling the leverage on the post.

We then increased the drop to 60 cm and the load to 190kg. Each test was done 5 times and then we examined the post to find nothing.

We then made a load deflection test of 250kg and bent the seatpost back 25mm without breaking it. Finally fatigue testing was set at 500,000 cycles and yet again we have been unable to break one.
