Self-immolation by women continues to be a problem in the Afghan province of Herat, with on average 10 women a month attempting suicide by setting themselves on fire. Not all of them succeed.

No, I'm reading Sura 4 Verse 34 of the Qur'an. Maybe mine is a different version - not translation - than yours.

No, it is NOT okay for a white man to behave like that towards females because I know for a fact that in Canada and all other western countries, there are laws that punish men who do.

Btw, Islam is NOT an ethnicity and Muslims are NOT members of an Islamic "race". Identifying as Muslim in any free country is a personal, arbitrary choice.

These women are not comitting suicide, they are being killed on purpose in honor killings that are made to look like "accidents." The random one might do it herself but its generally done by others, the title is misleading.

as the old guy on 2:11 talked only for a few seconds. they just took what they can use and cut off the most. im sure he gave an interview for more than 10 minutes. I cant believe that aljazeera is doing that. anyway, i wish the best for the women in afghanistan and i sincerely hope "women abuse" to vanish. but remember, its not only in afghanistan, its also in the USA. they have the highest numbers in domestic abuse. when you point your finger to someone three fingers point back to you.

@coffeefor1 In Islam, woman are given their right, just because one Muslim made an error, you cannot the whole Islam community, we are also Muslims but we never treat our woman like this!!
