The great thing about the Muppets is their variety. I don't know what sketch followed this one on the original episode, but it was probably something silly and pointless and hilarious. The Muppets could move from silly to poignant quickly and easily and do both well. This is certainly one of the most brilliant sketches they ever did. Only Harry Belafone's "Turn the World Around" and Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler" are as good.
Thanks for posting this classic part of the muppets up here. I remember this sad song so well becasue what he said is true. "There never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do when you find them."
