  • @gpietsch --if i know Stevie he will have collected old pound notes from his infancy SPECIFICALLY so that he could hand then over to him on the Diamond Anniversary of that Beatles gig !! : )

  • @johnnymoondog I didn't know Stevie Riks collected old pound notes. (Not being British, I wonder why old pound notes from 1961 would no longer be legal tender. Is it because of decimalization, which took place in 1971? BTW, U.S. dollar bills from the time period would still be legal tender and honored by the U.S. government, but the Treasury Department has destroyed most of those on a regular basis.)

  • @gpietsch Actually, the £9 he was paid for this performance was in OLD Pound notes from 1961 ( whcih are no longer legal tender ! )

he finally got what he asked for ! : )

  • @johnnymoondog Was it inflation-adjusted to 109 pounds?

  • @gpietsch Rumour has it that Allan was paid £9 for this performance ( in advance ) thus clearing the infamous 50 year debt that has been the source of great amusement for half a century ! : )

  • @johnnymoondog I don't think Allan Williams signed away the rights to his name and likeness, so he should get royalties for that at least, otherwise he could sue. Unless, like "Weird Al" Yankovic, Stevie Riks gets permission from the people he parodies in advance.

  • @gpietsch LOl yes he probably should get royalties, But he prefers to not recieve em to keep the story goin for another 50 years !! LOL : )

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA I nearly died laffing at that !!!!!! BRILLIANT !!!

  • God, I can't believe you did that. hahaha!

  • I wonder what Allan Williams thought about Stevie mocking him in his act. Hopefully, he was good-natured about it. Does Allan get royalties off of the "I Want My Commission!" mugs?
