Trebuchet I made in woods class/ metals class.

Throwing arm is about 14.5 feet.
From ground to top is about 23-24 feet.
The axel is 4.5 from teh BOTTOM of the counterweight, 4 feet from the end of the wooden arm inside the concrete.
The Concrete weighs roughly 1000 pounds. (It used to weigh 1500, but it was overkill so we knocked some off...)
The sling is rope and a canvas tote bag.
The trigger is a lever and pin set up wiht an extra lever arm to pull the pin easier.

  • Hey, so I'm doing a project on the trebuchet, traction, and counterweight, and I'm up to the task of finding info about the counterweight. Looking at this, it looks like a mini version (obviously), and I was wondering how long it took to build it? This is a university level project, so any info will help a lot.

  • @ThatDrewKid I bet some bitchy blonde/rich girl made a volcano.

  • Woot! How did you not f-ing win that competition?
