The DVR is waterproof to a shallow depth (and make sure to cover the mic with a piece of electrical tape). The water pack is for deeper and prolonged submersion.

hey i just ordered the moto snow package 3 and i just wanted to know is the DVR water proof or is it just the camera? and if it is can you submerge it in salt water? and if the DVR is water proof why do they sell a dry water sport pack? sorry for all the questions if you could get to they soon that would be awesome!!!! ;)
