This piece is called "Dancing Song of the Yao Tribe" and is the first track on the CD "Masterpieces of Chinese Traditional Chinese Music (Chinese Instrumental Ensemble)". The CD is still "in-print" and I recommend it highly. Simply a fantastic recording produced by Wang Sheng Di. The recording features Chen Jiebing on Erhu. I do not own any of the content of this video.

  • I thought this song is from Oliver Shanti in his Buddah and Bonsai album?

  • @thojmoto69 This is a traditional Chinese piece that has been covered by many artists. The version that I posted is from 1994 recording sessions. The Oliver Shanti version is from 1999 and is a shorter version at 2:05 minutes. Good catch and thanks for the post. cheers!
