Clan Line at the Spinney Light Railway, restarting from Baytree signal number 1, with only a little wheel-slip (3 carriages is more than usual for this steeply graded railway)!

  • what gauge is this?

  • 7¼" (184mm) gauge.

  • not quite as good as a gwr hall hanging 13 semi loaded aristocraft coaches! plenty of wheelslip aswell :D

  • Aristocrafts are much more freely running than these Cromer-Whites; and what gradient does your gwr hall pull away from with 13 on?

  • What a fine loco, I know Bulleid hated the re-builds but I think this would please him. I thought it was a well-judged start too.

  • Pretty impressive performance!

  • I agree, Aristocraft coaches weigh nothing and aluminium rail is slippery.

  • More sure footed than a full-scale one!

  • hahaha, got a proper bullied start, even in the minature versions.

  • not my hall btw, it just runs at our locoal club :)

  • got me there :) i think its about 1:120
