17 chefs from all over the world compete for the title of Top Chef. Quickfire-Loser will be sent home. 1-peel 15 apples with a knife. 9-safe & Stephan wins immunity, 8 to round 2. 2-micro dice 2 cups of apples-4 more safe-4 to round 3. 3-In 20 mins use the apples to make a dish that shows you want to stay. Lauren is eliminated. Elimination challenge-Teams of two-they will go head to head. They have to create dishes inspired by the neighborhood they chose. Astoria-Greek, Brighton Beach-Russian, Long Island City-Middle Eastern, Ozone Park-Latin, Jamaica-Caribbean, Little Indian-Indian, Little Italy-Italian, Chinatown-Chinese. They have 2 hours to cook. Top-Stephan, Eugene & Leah. Stephan wins for his use of Cinnamon with lamb chops & beef skewers. Bottom 2- Patrick & Ariane. Ariane made an undercooked Farro Rice Risotto & Lamb. Patrick made a black spaghetti dish that was gummy. Patrick was eliminated. This season will be great - Martha Stewart & Rocco DiSpirito were guest judges.
