Glory March 4, 2011 - Early Friday Morning 2:09 a.m. (PDT) (UTC−08:00) NASA's Glory spacecraft aboard an Orbital Sciences Taurus XL rocket was about to take off so I Wen't outside to capture this Rocket Launch of a Taurus XL Rocket Carying GLORY (A Satellite on board is to Anlyze Aerosols in the Earths Atmosphere). Sadly though the Faring's containing the payload failed to separate adn resulted in a Mission Failure.

The Orbital Sciences Taurus rocket will launch NASA's Glory Earth observation satellite. Glory will collect data on black carbon and aerosols in the Earth's atmosphere and solar irradiance and its affects on Earth's long-term climate record.
