Humberto Maturana es un reconocido biólogo y filósofo Chileno, quien inventó una teoría de autopoiesis, que explica la organización de los sistemas vivos como redes cerradas de autoproducción de los componentes que las constituyen. Ximena Davila es Profesora Chilena, colaboradora de Maturana, juntos desarrollaron la visión dinámica que entrelaza la Biología del Conocimiento con la Biología del Amor, que conforman la base de la matriz biológica de la existencia humana. Co-fundaron la Escuela Matrizca de Santiago.

En esta entrevista, realizada por Cristina Moreno y personal de la Universidad Metodista de Sao Paulo, Brazil, Humberto Maturana y su colega Ximena Davila brindan sus ideas y reflexiones sobre el significado de la Carta de la Tierra y su relevancia para los retos actuales.

Humberto Maturana is a renowned biologist and philosopher from Chile. He invented a theory of autopoiesis, about the nature of reflexive feedback control in living systems. Ximena Davila is a Professor from Chile who collaborates with Maturana, together they developed the dynamic vision that entangled the Biology of Knowledge and the Biology of Love that conform the basis for the Biological Matrix of Human Existence. Together they co-founded "la Escuela Matriztica de Santiago".

In this interview, done by Cristina Moreno together with the staff members of the Methodist University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Humberto Maturana and his colleague Ximena Davila offer their insights and reflections about the meaning of the Earth Charter and its relevance for today's challenges.
