Why can't he leave the house??

My dog was put down a month ago, so that aspect of this film was like a swift, aching punch to the gut. This is the epitome of heartbreak, but so beautiful in its tragedy.

I think this is still Templeton's masterpiece, vastly superior to PatW

Just when you think the internet has turned to shit something like this gets uploaded to youtube and totally turns the world on its head. Is it any wonder that TV audiences are dwindling when things like this have no proper outlet? Great film-making and a great alternative to Hollyoaks (now THAT'S what i call depressing!)

A child spared the details of a mothers death. A man grieving the loss of his wife. A son seeking comfort from a father who is too sad to give it. An aged dog suffering. A vet unable to make a house call. Euthanasia/animals/humans. Death is not peaceful. The wish to protect a child from that knowledge. Will the son ever trust what his fathers says again? I loved Peter and the Wolf, and went searching for this. Two so very different approaches. Powerful work!
