A theory portaining to memory, dendrites create new synaptic connections when memories are created. If attention shifts and is not re-activted dendrites move to new locations or die back. However I think it is possible that the synapse created, leaves a scar or key on the neuron. So when you re-learn or work hard to remember a new dendrite or the same dendrite seeks out and locks back onto the previouse synapse site. Thus creating the connections that allow you to recal the information.

I think this is pretty elaborate personally. It seems to me that every major point is clearly presented and all the necessary imformation given. Maybe I should have went to berkley instead. :P
