(4) Martin Luther King Jr was a Republican. (5) George Wallace was a Democrat.  (6) It was the Republicans that passed the Civil Rights Acts of the 60's over the violence and threats and objections of the Democrats. @macgeek2004 you are not making any sense, Jim Crow was against ethnic reading, writing, rights and privileges. Ken Buck supports literacy and i agree people should be able to read and write before they can vote. If are 18 and cannot even read at least 8th grade level you should not even vote.

@creptoin1 For example, do you remember the 2010 mid-terms? Remember Ken Buck? He was the TEA Party candidate for a Senate seat in CO who OPENLY advocated for voter litteracy tests! He said, and I quote, "We've got people voting who can't even write their own name *IN ENGLISH*!" Vocal emphasis on the "*IN ENGLISH*" part.
