Hollow points have no reliable history of expanding on even a human target. It is easy to see why we are trying to take something as soft as human tissue or water melon to bend something as hard as copper coated lead. It is not logical to believe it would. Not with the slow speeds of a hand gun.
Shooting melons is fun. Be great if you mentioned anything informative, such as what brand, bullet weight, and load.
