You are right, I have some great memories right now, because back in the days, Nobody was trying to take them away for me before they ever got made People had a line that they wouldn`t cross with their self service.

Today, they are nearly stepping past that line. I didn`t catch it the first time, but I caught this one, this time.

    Cont`d from my last post.

The thing is, I want to be one of those that aims to put his time, or energy into something positive, and THAT is what Disney does for me. And Disney is just one of them. There are Toy Makers', Clothes makers' Artmakers' jobs behind the things that we shop for, or collect . And if we Americans cannot show appreciation for the companies that produce product like this for their money, dont give me selfish super spiritual speaches.

    Con`t from my last post.

Really, I think that you are starting to catch on where my hurt is.

You are right, They are not trying to take away My Disney Connections ANY FURTHER because, I`m catching them now. I may not have caught one in time from doing it to McDonalds. But you know what?, I`m catching this one in Rev. Billy Talen and the Church of Stop Shopping .

Cont`d on my next post .

It is also not constructive to make whatever the situations are worse by not buying any products because of a false prophet and fascists on parade who want to consume attention and/or money for themselves.

BTW, if you are concerned about whether Disney makes me happy or not, Where were you in my first visit to Walt Disney World in 1983 when I got my FIRST, I repeat FIRST Happy Disney Memory, and I fell in love with Disney? Cont`d on my next post.

  • @djthereplay What you purchase and where you purchase in this economy holds a stronger political statement than most people realize or think about I think.

  • @djthereplay While you have some great memories and therefore good association with these places it isn't constructive to just ignore that there is bad that exists with these places too. I think Mr. Talen is trying to get people to see that there is bad with these places too, and they're not you're buddy interested in making you happy from childhood into adulthood into old age.

  • As far as Disney, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, and any other thing I enjoyed as a kid, which why wouldn't I or any other kid enjoy, is not the same thing for me now as an adult. I have quite different perspectives of these places now as an adult. That doesn't mean that the fond memories I have are false or cheap. They are just like everything else they are memories of a time in my life that evoke certain emotions and no one can take them away from, just like no one is TRYING to take them away from you.

  • @djthereplay Oh I'm sure he's missing some points people make for sure. That's the nature of the human element. But I don't perceive his "sermons" as preaching any hate towards those that work for who he is really holding some contempt for, the big corporations. And I don't think he's looking to get people unemployed either. I think what he wants and a lot of people want is the strategy of these companies to change their strategy and treat their employees better.

Maybe Reverend Billy Talen and His Crew are missing my point of what I`m saying when he protests Disney Stores. First of all, I am a childhood Fan of Disney, and I HATE people like this who bring their self serving parade of fascism to ANY Disney Store or NON Disney Store in general in this country.

Do you know where people like him end up as in my book?, JOB KILLERS !!!

    - Dwight

  • @djthereplay hmmm I think you're missing the point of what he's trying to say.
