Horse Drawn Promotions - Breaking horses to harness. http://www.horsedrawnpromotions.com/
This coloured stallion came to us to be broken so his owner could sell him. He was nervous in traffic to start with but after building up his confidence through the hazards he was able to be driven happily alongside heavy traffic in the town.

  • did you smack the reins on him to make him go faster? thats bad,bad style an a no-go.

  • The reason we do this is because other people do drive like this; if a novice driver made a mistake and did smack the horse on the quarters with the reins, we want to know that he won't retaliate or kick out, which can happen with horses that have never experienced being touched on the quarters while in shafts. Our training involves building the horses' confidence in situations that he may not encounter in "everyday" driving, so that if anything ever did happen, he would react calmly.

  • he could pull easier in a neck collar. breeching looks a bit low. handles traffic really well.
