  • Few people would remember this fellow but I think he has one of the purest, richest voices of any artist we could remember - Rick

  • @MrAAA3330 There is no much really great music just fading into the sunset. It's too bad. It, like this song,

had a special way of making you drift into another wonderland.

  • This takes me back to the happiest times of my life. :)

  • just think, we all have a morning side buy no one says it like Tommy

  • one of the best singers i have heard

  • This gentleman had such a voice -- like velvet! He was truly one of the great ones!

  • @MrAAA3330 I first heard Tommy in '60 when I came to the states from Scotland. I'd never heard "pop" music

and it was pure magic when I first heard it. Now, I'm in my late '60's. I hit every second hand store and "antique store I see. I've found a few of Tommy's albums. They are few and far between. Seems that people that have them know what they have and they hold on to them. Good luck in your search.

  • @LadODell I'm only 39, but know of a lot of the great older music from the older albums and singles that I have. My grandparents had Tommy's "All in the Game" album, which was passed on to my parents, so I grew up with an appreciation for his music. It seems that with so many of the older artists, you may find a few of their top hits here on youtube and that's about it.

  • Edwards, from Richmond, Va., had a number of excellent recordings -- including this one and "It's All In The Game" -- in the early 1950s, but he didn't hit the pop charts big-time until 1958. This song reached No. 27 on the Billboard charts in early 1959, while the flip side ("Please Mr. Sun") went to No. 11.

  • @hoserman100 Sad too. I have the album "All in the Game" on LP and it's a great album. I think that "All in the Game" was his greatest hit. I have a several copies of it on 45. People who don't own turntables and/or 8-track players will never know of some of these great artists because there is so much music from the past that will never be available on CD or YouTube. Glad to see this one posted.

  • @hoserman100 AGREE(:
