@DKMoonwalker ye true i guess... the very first thing i like to practice is finding the tempo i wanna play at and getting the hits as spot on as possible, not necessarily pounding the drum since that just takes up energy from the legs but so that i can play comfortably at that tempo with the hits sounding the same and staying on the count.

@atticusspc are you insane?! it's hard to have so much control, that gives him the ability to play soft!! Sure, lots of drummers play 200+bpm double bass, but not with this control... i couldn't play that controlled, even thoguh i've played 250bpm+ death metal 5 years now :s it's easier just pounding away...
