This is my video response to irgarza52 "First Video for 2010"

OK, this is my 3rd attempt in uploading this video. First was on the laptop shown in this video & it started spewing white smoke (not sure what happened bu it's dead) during the upload of this video. Second attempt my Jaguar Cichlid (Cichlasoma managuense or fish for the layman) that is in the fish tank shown in this video died (he has been sick for about a month now), while attended to that I left my main computer uploading this video then for the first time in the five months since I built this computer it blue screened on me. So here we go again for the 3rd attempt.

What I left out of this video is my wireless lapel system (I gave it to one of the churches I help out with their audio systems, shall be ordering a replacement this week) that I configured to run my QSC HPR 122i speakers wireless thus saving from cables having to be run all over the venue. I also forgot to film my USB hub installed in the case as well as my MXR Smartgate noise gate (for output of the Peavey Dual deltaflex) & my Ikey Audio wave/MP3 recorder to record the audio of the gigs that request a copy of the speeches etc. This is a back up system for my wedding, corporate type gigs where my Pioneer DJM800/CDJ 800 MKII system wouldn't be as well suited. My next investment (should be here sometime this coming week) is the Odyssey 34 foldable DJ stool to save on having to stand through the long speeches, presentations, etc.

Due to the low profile of the Lstand by odyssey no commercial rack lights would fit under it yet still provide the light coverage I required. So the unit you see is something I built myself using some spare parts from the custom gaming computers I build. All the parts to build it can be found on frozencpudotcom, switch is Part #: ele-400, light is Part #: lit-184. Two part Epoxy glue to glue the light in place then drill a hole for the switch, then used a 12v 1A wall pack.

  • please suggest where we can buy those couplers/connections you're using?

  • @jonpaulevans Ebay

  • beautifully done - well thought out, clean and innovative...EXCEPT!!! Why did you hang the peavy like that? Why didn't you run it over the CD drawer - that way you can access your 2500, CD drawer, mixer connections incase one pops loose...

  • @jonpaulevans No room, the Peavey is a really deep unit & it would of hit the bottom of the mixer & not fit all the way in. I tried that position already & the only way to of getting it to git there would of meant sacrificing my slide out keyboard. They Keyboard played a very important role so it wasn't going anywhere. Besides the Peavey did a good job of hiding all that was going on in the rear of the racks & gave a clean finished look. With it under the light I could make changes in the dark.

  • The Cue method is the only thing about this system that I didn't like & actually the only reason why I sold this system. However I miss the compactness of this system so I am about a week out from ordering a Denon DN-mc6000, I considered the Pioneer DDJ-S1 but I can get the Denon in my hands with a laptop supporting case for a couple hundred less then just the Pioneer system alone would cost. Also the DN-MC6000 is much more compact which is the main thing I am looking for, sorry Pioneer.

  • how do you connect your peavey procesor to your mixer.

  • @juana19881 I made up a custom cable to go into the mic in on the mixer. I had other processing such as the MXR Smartgate going on in between the Peavey Deltaflex & the mixer. The Deltaflex was used as two independent processing, one channel set for effects for my mic while the other was set with different effects for the sampler. The Deltaflex allows you two mix down two independent sources with independent processing into a single channel output.
