I boarded it today in whakatane, New zealand, a crazy boat, i got to sign my name on the wall.

Those fins house the snorkels. As it punches through waves, the snorkels stay above the surface to let air in and out.

It looks like the pontoons would be worse, drag-wise, than a monohull. Also, the fins in the back, that look like vertical stabilizers, must be just for looks. Can't see their use on a boat.
