3 Brothers, 3 Friends, 1 Love: Chapter 7 Part 1

The Next Day.

Carson's POV

I'm just heading over to Hayley and Riles house. They each went on their dates yesterday but what they don't know is that I met somebody aswell. Yes, I just happened to bump into a totally awesome guy. And when I say bump I really do mean bump!

"And then Kevin slow danced with me for what seemed like hours." Hayley gushed.

I nodded my head as if I was listening but she must have said that part about 5 times along with the rest of her story. Riley had explained the whole Nick dilema but I couldn't really think up any advice apart from be honest and tell him how you feel. She didn't seem too keen on that but I'm sure they'd work it out. Now it was time to explain my 'bumping'.

"I decided to go for a jog to clear my head because, surprisingly, I couldn't stop thinking about Joe."
"There's a shocker!" Hayley snorted.
"Please hold all sarcastic comments until the end." I warned her. "I had my Ipod on blasting some Paramore when suddenly I tripped. I got back up and turned around to continue my jog when I 'bumped' into this guy. He was carrying a skateboard and when I say 'bumped' I mean he hit me over the head with his board and kinda put me back onto the floor, turns out he was rocking to Paramore aswell."
"Woah! Are you ok?" Hayley asked seeming concerned.
"Yeah, totally. He helped me up and apologised and thats when I noticed his face."
"GROSS! What was wrong with it?"
"Absolutley nothing. Nothing at all. He was perfect."

Hayley laughed at me swooning over a guy. I continued to describe his brown hair and striking green eyes. He also had a body to die for. Like seriously! We bonded over music and he walked me home to make sure I didn't have concussion or anything. We exchanged numbers and he promissed to call sometime today.

"So, what was his name, how old is he, any brothers?" Hayley asked jokingly.
I laughed.
"His name's Trey Parker. He's 23. And he has a younger brother. I thought you were happy with Kevin?"
"I was asking for Riley. And 23! You have got to be kidding me!"
"He isn't that much older!"
"Carson! Your 17! That's 6 years difference." she scolded.
"Yeah. But think when I'm 30 he'll be 36 and then it won't seem too bad."
"But your not! Your 17 and need to date somebody your own age!"
"Like Joe. Sorry if I don't fall madly in love with rockstars." I spat at her.

After this I stormed out of the kitchen.

Hayley's POV

I couldn't believe Carson was thinking about - or even considoring - dating this Trey Parker. He was way too old for her. I didn't mean for her to date Joe but she should at least find somebody in her age range. He sounded like trouble and I didn't want her getting hurt. She was my friend after all.

Joe's POV

Carson! That name keeps coming into my mind. Kevin and Nick both had dates with their girls and I just wanted one chance with Carson. When she said we should just be friends she can't have meant it right...? Maybe she was just shy and was waiting for me to ask her out. But that doesn't sound like Carson. Maybe she doesn't think I like her. I did agree on being just friends. I think I should tell her how I feel. Yeah, thats it. I'll tell her how I feel. Wow! I'm a genious!

Nick's POV

My date with Riley couldn't have ended any worse. She must hate me and I wouldn't blame her. I'm gunna phone her and see if she'll agree to meet with me. I picked up my cell and searched through the contacts until I reached her name. With hesitation I clicked the call button and sat through 3 rings before hearing her voice.

"Hello?"
"Hey Riley, it's Nick."
"Oh, how are you?"
"I'm fine. Yourself?"
"I've been better."
"I wondered if you wanted to go for a walk or something?"
"Yeah sure. I'll meet you at the park in 5."
"Bye."

I hung up and quickly got ready. I threw on some skinny jeans and a tight white tee. I squirmed into my too small green converse and checked my appearance in the mirror. I suppose this would have to do.

Riley's POV

Nick phoned which was good I suppose. We agreed to meet in the park. I think I'm going to take the advice I've been given and confess about how I feel. It was obvious he liked Miley when they ran into each other yesterday and he needs to confront those feelings and either move on or talk with her. I tied my hair into a messy bun and put on my silver flats. I slicked on some baby pink lipgloss and grabbed my jacket. There's no backing out now.
