This is Fireflies by Owl City. I played all the parts on trumpet and pitched the stuff too low for a trumpet down on the computer. All sound is edited with Sony Acid and all video is edited with Sony Vegas. I play on a Taylor Chicago Lite with a Taylor M mouthpiece (Bach 3c equivalent)

***There is a midi piano, bass, drum set, and synth.

Unfortunately the video flashes a bunch and I have no idea why, I tried to re-render and it happened again so I had no choice but to leave it :-(

  • Inspired me to try to make a video of me playing this song on the Bass Clarinet and/or Piano. Keep up the amazing work!

  • Did you ever get the Sony Vegas blinking video problem fixed?

  • that was some good playing man! good job!

i also recently found out about this song, and i made a vid of me playing it on trombone. check it out, please? thanks!

  • It forces you to loosen you'd grip :)

  • @AsianBeastTeehee depends on your technique, if your below grade 4 standard I suggest keep your pinky on top if that's what you've been told to do as it stops you from pressing too hard on the mouthpiece, I however do put my finger in the ring and just recently passed my grade seven with merit so it can't be all bad, but I did spend a year relearning my embouchure before grade six as I pressed far too hard. It's down to personal preference, but if you do press too hard leave ur pinky in top, as

  • Awsome

  • sir......u look like harry potter

  • A bit faster suits the song better, but really cool concept and great tone.

  • does any body kno were i can get the sheet music for this?

  • Uau! You're really good, continue playing :)

By the way could you give me the sheet music for trumpet ?
