Castlevania(NES) Stage 15: Grim Reaper of Death

Beating Stage 15 with no power ups from previous levels(So no Holy Water). This is a genuine run through, no cheats/saves/bugs used. Lots of Chronic was blazed during the making of this video...

The 80's is more superior then the 2000's!

But thankfully the Holy Water can kill the knights in one hit if you time the throw right, and in the hall right before Death, if you hit the axe he throws, you can dispatch him quickly and focus on avoiding the Medusa heads, thereby not losing all your health before you reach Death and can actually focus on him rather than his stupid scythes.

@kitsunefire1 So true.. those unexpected weapon drops can ruin your one whole runthrough while carrying the holy water... ugh.

@pallafox True, but it's hard to hold onto the Holy Water until you reach him, in ADDITION to avoiding item drops from enemies.

NOTHING boils my blood more than killing a knight and then having him drop a knife that I pick up

I spent nearly a WEEK trying to kill Death.

I killed Dracula in a few hours...

This is just insane.

@ManiacLegoMan Metroidvanias are crap the only recent castlevanias I've liked are the ps2 ones. The first one did away with that level up shit and is one of the hardest games around. the 2nd one felt like simon's quest getting to explore all around and trek through Romania culminating in a final confrontation with an early risen dracula.

if your talking about castlevania, good 'cause im gonna say something, if not youd better stop readin, i think the 80's are superior because now the story's are really confusing, you barely play as the belmonts and there are too many power ups. so in a nut shell, i agree

Well we all know that Dracula is going to be hard so the stage is going to be just as hard but very short.
