Saw Kaufmann on stage on 17 December with a different conductor (debut by Pierre Vallet). It was stupendous to hear see and hear him on stage and the conductor did an excellent job as well. Jonas is about the best tenor around today. He has paid his due in the past 20 years, nurturing his voice singing in gradually difficult roles. Would love to see him do Othello some day.
