"Prayer" from Richard Wagner's opera "Rienzi" (this is an arrangement/excerpt for organ of the beautiful prayer of Rienzi that opens the 5th act of the opera)

The organ is J.W. Steere, Opus 701, built and installed in the Church of the Redeemeer, Morristown, NJ, USA in 1918.

  • Thank you so very much for posting this video! What an experience to hear Rienzi played on this magnificent organ. Almost as if I can hear His Masters Voice calling from above. It's one of Wagners' most emotional pieces and i'm sitting here with wet eyes and enjoying the beautifull organsounds (what a great bass-section)
