Me singing another Japanese song...first time singing Utada Hikaru's song...I heard this song back when I was in HS, but never thought to learn to sing it until now. I really like the meaning of the song.

I did really bad on the low notes...I can't seem to bring my low voice out. Any comments? I was singing with user damulgun's video of a trainee because I liked her version of First Love, so you can hear her voice at times. If anyone know where I can find the instrumental version please tell me...i don't want the piano version though.

My vocal teacher said I'm not opening my mouth wide enough and need to sing louder. So I took up the courage to actually record myself singing so you guys can see if I should open my mouth any wider or not. I already tried to open it wide and my voice did come out louder, but should I open it bigger? My facial expression looks so painful..probably because i opened my mouth more than i normally do when i sing..

I know I'm fat...but it seems the camera really added 10lbs....which made me look fatter...*sniff sniff*

  • thanks, and no i'm not.

  • In reality, the notes in the beginning arent really that low. :)

Or, you can just sing on another octave if you arent comfortable with the lower ones. ^^

In my opinion, you did great. :D

  • thanks a lot

  • remotes and fans win, great couple

  • Ehm...

I *think* you are a good singer, but the problem (and the big detractor from this video) is that the version you are singing to has the original voice in it, and it's so loud, it's drowning you out! My advice: Use headphones if you need to hear her voice, or use a Karaoke version of the song (all instrumental), so we only hear you!

Because of this, I think the video is awful. *NOT * because you look or sound bad, or look intense (which I think you feared). Good luck, & keep trying!
