Durban Review Conference 2009 - Voices that should be heard

At the Durban Review Conference, early 2009 a number of people were invited to tell their stories of marginalisation and discrimination. The Voices side event highlighted the daily suffering and courage of so many around the world whose lives are affected by racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

I want to ask mr. Ahmadinejad, For what reason, when tens of azeribaijanese was shot year 2006 may, because they wanted to study in their mother language.Ahmadinejad didn't talk about racism in Iran.

we are more than 30 millions azeribaijanese living in Iran but we are second class citizens we can't study in our mother language. The world most know there is a very serious problem in Iran. With one word it's: racism.

Persian is an Arab dialect??! Are u dronk! Persian belongs to Indo-Europeans family but Arabic, Hebrew, and some others belong to Samies. If u don't know enough about something, it is better to shut ur mouth!

Also Persian is basically an dialect of Arabic. (I think it is 34th accent of Arabic?) This is categorized by UNISCO couple of years ago. So your main mother language is Arabic and I agree that Arabic is a rich language and you should be proud of it. But Turkish also is a rich and we are proud of it.

I'm an Iranian Azeri and I'm sure she is a liar ! In my whole life in Iran (38 years) , no one never asked me not to talk in Azeri Turkish.

In not teaching in that language in schools , that can't be considered "violating linguistic rights" , because same is true about the American Spanish latinos and the US central government does not teach them in their native language .
