NICE! but the best part about the solo at the end for me is the pickup switch in SRV's version

Hey man sounds great. Just wanna give you 1 tip.
In het main riff you miss 1 upstroke when you play the G/G#.There should be a hammer on while you play the upstroke on the offbeat.
But apart of that, very very good work

@vintagemetal
Thanks man! The rhythm was missing something and I wasn't sure what. I'll definitely work that in there now.
Have a good one!

what scale is mainly used in this song?
16shn 1 year ago
@16shn Minor blues scale with the rub that he subs major 3rds in all over the place. The flat 5th is used as a passing note which takes it out of the realm of the pentatonic scale. He's not working a chord scale technique, so he's not shifting key with the chords in the progression... damb. I'd have to go back and look at it, but a minor blues scale DOES work.

that was really good! But i think you had a little too much distortion. But that was sweet!

@Hersheybars
I do have a tendency to use a bit more distortion than necessary. Although the amp I was using is a YCV-50, now I have a Marshall 1/2 stack, 410H with a 1960A lead cab so I'm getting a much better tonal response and don't feel the need to push the gain as much now. Gots ta love a Marshall! ;)
