And our correspondents in Israel visited the 14th festival of tastes and ethnic food at Haifas city beach. Let's have a look.

In Haifas beach, "Taam Ahir" is the second largest food festival in the world and the largest in Israel.

This year "Taam Ahir" hosted many leading restaurants and organic food stands.

[Uri Plez, "Lemon Grass" Restaurant Owner]:
"We offer Asian food that is cooked on-site by Asian chefs that you can see here. The chefs toss the food, especially noodles, or chicken and beef with noodles, mix with special Asian sauces and it's all being served in small carton boxes, and the crowd is eating"

Looks like visitors are enjoying the food and the Mediterranean ambiance.

[Noah Godfried, Visitor]:
"The food is very tasty and there's a good mood here a lot of fun and the weather is also nice."

You can find in some of the stands exotic foods and you can also learn about many new kinds of food.

[Uri Malhi, Sugar Cane Importer]:
"From sugar cane one can make juice. We import sugar cane from Brazil, India, Jamaica and Cuba. We are the only ones who imports it to Israel, and it's a new product here. Syrup for cakes and many other things can be made from the juice, and we hope Israelis will love this healthy food."

[Avigdor Malhi, Sugar Cane Importer]:
It is said that Cleopatra used to give sugar cane to her lovers to increase their desire. People also say that Moses used a sugar cane stick to sweeten the water."

Some of the chefs are also selling recipes to the public.

[Haim Cohen, Restaurant Owner]:
"I have a restaurant called "Disky" in Tel-Aviv. The most popular dishes are chicken wings in chili sauce and home fries, which are potatoes in chili sauce. People also like the Philadelphia sandwich, which is entrecote with vegetables and cheese. As they say, it's all about people. Smiles on people's faces when they eat good food, families eating out together, I think it's charming, it makes you want to carry on."

Mediterranean, Italian, French cuisine were presented side by side at the festival.

[Guy Ben Asher, Restaurant Owner]:
"It's fun here in Israel, the atmosphere is good and everyone is invited."

What's left now is to enjoy the delicious food this festival offers. Bon Appétit!
