Day[9] Daily #394 P3 - Terran Week - Thorzain's TvT!

Mirror matchups can always be quite a pain given that you're both doing the same thing much of the time! We're going to look at Thorzain's play in two parts: 1) We're going to admire his amazingly beautifully timed opening (so you can STEAL it) 2) We then look at his incredible mid and late game tactics to see how he gets an edge in these mirror spots! And then we're going to eat pizza.

@hungree7 They're 'pro' players because they earn money from playing SC. A Professional is just someone who earns money from their profession. It has nothing at all to do with having a Degree. Also it's a bit presumptous to assume that no pro players hold any kind of higher educational certificates.

I do put as much of my SC2 knowledge to use playing a game called War Commander on Facebook, which is effectively a slug-RTS but it has unit control, and you can micro the units, but there really is no such thing as macro since everything you build takes around 1 minute to a week in time, upgrades, units, repairs, buildings. You can even stutter step in it, though it's totally useless since you can't currently play in real time against another player.

Not that this will be read, but this daily isn't really "useful" to me, but then none of them currently are (dead computer no SC2 for me) plus I intend to go back to Zerg once I get a working computer again. But, I watch the dailies purely because they are amusing, informative and quite funny at times, though Funday Monday's obviously being the truly funny ;P

sure, when you call someone a pro you generally mean they are good, but just because someone in GM is good doesn't mean they're pro, what makes them beeing pro is that they make money from it :)
