Driving back from picking up some fine cuisine from Jack in the Box and thought I would try out this suction cup mount made by SunPack. Camera mounted upside down so I just inverted the footage in post. All auto settings and shot in 24p mode. Performed pulldown in AE CS3. Added some backdrop music from Video Copilot's Sound FX collection. I think it turned out okay, but please let me know what you think. Also any advice on settings with the HV20 for night shooting is greatly appreciated.

  • is the time lapse software come with the camera or did you use something else, also i here that camera thake a tape for hi def if so how do you get the footage to youtube nd is it the same quality?

  • @M0Etivation - unfortunately no, the software did not come with the camera. I used Adobe After Effects for the "Time Lapse Effect" in post production. There is a free tutorial on how this is done at videocopilot (dot) net. Its is lesson # 29 under the tutorials tab. To get the footage onto You Tube, I leave the tape in the camera and use a program to import the footage via a 1394 Firewire cable. This is one of the best HD cameras I have ever owned. Highly recommend it! Thanks!

  • pretty cool, and what did u use to edit it

  • Thanks for the feedback. All edits and post production were completed in Adobe After Effects.

  • what does "pulldown" mean?

and what program did you use to capture the video to your computer?

  • please tell me how to do a 24p pulldown!

i have some test footage recorded in 24p and know how to use after effects cs3 well

  • There is a new link you can get in video: The "Watch in HD" link. Theres tons of tutorials on how to get it. It's crystal clear quality. Is Time Map the effect used where you can slow down or speed up movies?

  • what effect did u use in the intro? and what presets/plugins for the actual video? i love the look!!! keep up the good work!!!

  • Looks really nice actually, for being on Auto settings it looks fantastic. Where did you buy your mount? I'd like to try something like this too with my XL2.
