For whatever it's worth, here are my two college-music-professor cents:

This is the most wonderful and exciting thing I've seen come out of the pop scene in a long time. I absolutely love it. My only wish is that it helps the masses to start redefining their idea of good pop music. Unfortunately it probably won't... oh well. The battle goes on.

In the meantime I'll just enjoy it.

I dont know why everyones loving this so much. Sounds really terrible to me. I hope ye'r all not just liking it for the sole reason "I'm different", because that would be a shame. This is terrible on the ears.... shes not so easy on the eyes either, but that shouldn't matter. What matters is I can see no craft or talent emerging from this video whatsoever!
